This was taken in a men's clothing shop! For some reason this yellow ladder was standing in the corner, I suppose to get to the stock on the high shelves. We did not buy anything, but at least I got my shot for the day :).

I am not surprized that this ladder attracted your photographer's attention. Independently of what object it is, the detail that you have extracted makes quite an interesting image, well balanced, full of different areas with nice colour variations, and the basic yellow is really appealing to the eye. You are right to tag it for the eotb challenge. If you allow me a suggestion, I think it could also become the basis of a great submission to the abstract challenge if you would crop it square by removing the lower part (because in that case you would like to keep the part with the most graphical variations, even if you loose a bit more of the reference to the original object).
