White Fantail Pidgeon

We visited a farm today and they bred these fantails pidgeons.
They are absolutely beautiful.

In general, I think pidgeons get short shrift as they really *are* pretty, but sort of the "weeds of birddom". Now this one, this is just gorgeous, and no one could say differently! Thanks for finding him to share!

Thanks for posting what these are! We saw some in a garden in Venice and I got several shots and didn't know what to call them. I just couldn't believe that something so pretty could be a plain old pigeon!
