The blue edge at Killer Piranah Sushi because my world is split in half during the month of May 😊
I had resisted going to this sushi restaurant because their name was a real turnoff to me. We finally went Sunday and their food was wonderful. They had a lighted blue ledge running down the wall by the booths so of course I had to take a photo for the half and half.
@pcoulson I guess the reason I liked their food is that they had many different choices of Japanese food. Lovely soups, and I enjoyed Sukiyaki. We did share a sushi cooked lobster roll which was excellent. I don’t care for sushi with raw fish but I sure know a lot of people who love it!
i just had sushi and sashimi for lunch. raw fish is an acquired taste. if you don't like it the first time, chances are you won't like it ever. i only go to the one or two places that i know are good, they're not first class dining but food to go type of shops. there is a great fining dining Japanese restaurant i frequent with friends, but i don't order their sushi, as i very much could ascertain with my eye if it's good or not but their teppanyaki is great. funnily enough, i had my first sushi when i was young back in the old country. now, whenever i visit, it's the one thing i avoid eating.
nice half and half, law. and the colour is really pleasing to the eye.
@summerfield I always fret, not sure the raw fish is perfectly fresh for the sushi. So I just order things that are cooked. Two Japanese ladies were in the booth behind me. They ordered a huge sushi boat full of all kinds of sushi, they tapped their chopsticks on their plate before they selected a piece, so lots of clicking going on. They were drinking Japanese beer and having a wonderful time. Even though I couldn’t understand what they were saying (in Japanese) I honestly think one of them had - a. gotten a divorce recently, or b. received a big promotion at work. She was very animated and happy. 😊
