I just received the sad news that Henri Russell @henrir passed away December 19. The cancer she fought for so long just could not be cured. The last time we spoke, a few months ago, she was doing better but the cancer became too aggressive shortly after that. I am heartbroken, she was a lovely, dear friend, she is the reason I am on 365. She loved yellow roses so I thought this would be nice to post in my extras album in her honor.
Oh, Lou Ann! I am so sorry to hear that terrible news. 365 has lost a dear sister. Henri was a faithful follower who always had encouraging words for me. I will miss her.

i saw this and i thought "henri!" and then i read your caption. it saddens me to hear of her passing. she has been a great friend here on 365 and always encouraging, even in her toughest moments. i regret her passing but i am glad that i have told her i missed her and she acknowledged me. lou ann, thank you for letting us know. and please extend my condolences to her family when you shall have the opportunity. i have missed her greatly and will remember her always.
Sad news for so many but good that you actually have found out. Not always straight forward in 365 unless a partner places a notice. Your yellow rose is beautiful!
Oh LouAnn...I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Henri. This brings tears to my eyes. I followed her on 365 and missed seeing her postings and sweet smile. I sent a message telling her so on November 5th. May she Rest In Peace. I also remember you lost a family member around this time last year too? I lost my mother on Christmas Day in 2005. Christmas...tenderness of the past, courage for the present and hope for the future. You gave Henri a lovely tribute.

Such sad news Lou Ann, I am quite heartbroken. Henri was such a wonderful person, we exchanged emails before she got ill again. Two weeks ago I lost my oldest friend to cancer as well. Such a wonderful tribute for Henri, may she now RIP.

The rose is beautifully photographed, and you pay a lovely tribute to Henri. I'm so sad to hear this -- she was always such an optimistic and cheerful presence in our community. She will be missed.
I'm sorry I missed this initially- what a beautiful rose to remember a beautiful person. I will miss her kind and generous comments on my photos- but the impact she had on all of us will continue in her memory. You, along with her family and friends will be in my thoughts as you mourn. She will not be forgotten but certainly missed.
I'm a little shaky and very sad reading this. I noticed months back that she posted a few pictures after an absence and but did not return after that. I always loved her comments and know I'm not the only one.
