What a dear sentiment! That's just lovely in both eye-appeal and words! I chuckle because there's no way I'd throw out a lovely piece of needle work *just because of a few holes*! That's where you set the vase of flowers!
@louannwarren Though I don't know to whom the items belonged, I received a silver engraved thimble (that one was my grandmother's), the little silver embroidery scissors, and all sorts of tiny accessories. I compiled them into a shadow box with a very old Civil-War-era photo of family members. I'm so glad I did that long ago as nothing will be misplaced or lost now!
