The Nassau Harbor Lighthouse was the last thing of interest we saw until we reached Miami at the end of our cruise. It's a fairly small lighthouse on the barrier island that protects Nassau Harbor from the rough Atlantic. I was glad to get the Atlantic breaking behind it.
@Weezilou Since I didn't see the lighthouse at night I can't guarantee it is workkng but it really did present itself well for my photos, catching the waves was a bonus! Thank you!
@onewing@photographycrazy@gaylewood@littleconnie@happysnaps thank you so much for your wonderful comments and favs. So thrilled your interest out it on the PP. @nicolecampbell It really was not very big at all, which was pretty interesting. I have more shots I'll post that will also show its diminutive size.
@nicolecampbell Ah ha, thanks to Google I learned the lighthouse was built in 1817, it is the oldest lighthouse in the British West Indies, and you were right, it is 69 feet tall! Not super tall by lighthouse standards but a lot taller than it looks!
