At the top of the spiral staircase was a ladder to get to the top tier, so up I went. I texted Jerry when I got to the top and said "take my picture, I'm waving! I'm the one with white hair". He obliged, with his cell phone. Ha ha!
You are probably the only one up there let alone one with a white hat! A lot of steps to climb but good exercise! Interesting to see a lighthouse made of bricks!
@maggiemae this was a couple weeks ago. There were lots of families and children running around but only a few adults who climbed the ladder to get to the Lantern Room. The glass was so scratched and scored I had a time taking photos through it. I was just determined that Jerry get a photo of me because I was sure no one would believe I really climbed to the top. Ha!
