You don’t have to do much, just put an antique electric line insulator on the windowsill to catch the sun’s rays.

At one of our favorite restaurants they have high windows and each window has one of these insulators. Simplicity wins every time.

Thank you for your great comments, I appreciate them so much! @happypat Insulators were used on electric line poles to separate the lines - they don’t conduct electricity so the electrical power couldn’t cross over to the next line.

Great shot! My husband has a small collection of these. Ours are sitting on a fence in our back yard and yours is much cleaner!
