You don’t have to do much, just put an antique electric line insulator on the windowsill to catch the sun’s rays.
At one of our favorite restaurants they have high windows and each window has one of these insulators. Simplicity wins every time.

Insulators were used on electric line poles to separate the lines - they don’t conduct electricity so the electrical power couldn’t cross over to the next line.
