My roses have the measles! by louannwarren

My roses have the measles!

This rose bush has always had just one color of Rose, a deep salmon color. This year the roses are more red/pink and at least one flower in each cluster is pinkish white with red spots. I’m going to take a spotted bloom to my garden center to see what I need to do to make it healthy again.
It's a magnificent photograph but you are right the measles do seem to have attacked your roses

A great shot and lovely colour Lou Ann. My white Icebergs get pink spots when they get too much water. Hope your garden centre can help ;-)

I can see the spots, how weird as they have bloomed so there can't be much wrong with the plant, interesting to find out & please let us know.

Lovely image Lou Ann suspect if the spots are only on the flowers and not the leaves its still healthy, spots on the leaves usually a fungus and needs treating:)

This is really unusual - be curious to hear what they think. Otherwise, it sure looks like a healthy rose bush.

@gazzatron @pistache @365karly1 @mittens @mave @ludwigsdiana @carolmw @gijsje @happypat @pcoulson @snowy @milaniet @deeganp @nicolecampbell @bkbinthecity Thank you for your comments and thoughts about my funky rose problem. It rained today so I didn’t get to the garden center. I will post here when I find out if this is something to treat or just a non-issue!

Beautiful roses. Maybe they have been cross pollinated with white roses. Smile. I have no idea if course. I kill fake flowers.

Oh, no! I hope you find out what the problem is and hope it's not serious. Your photo is beautiful...even with the spots. :-)
