The Canadian Geese came back! by louannwarren

The Canadian Geese came back!

With all the construction on our manmade Riverwalk, I didn’t really expect the geese to come back this year. All I could think about today was how much better this scene will be in the spring.
Lovely shot of Canada Geese.

Ah but naked trees reflecting in the water is pretty darn nice.

There is a clarity to this shot that makes it very appealing even in the winter. I like the crispness to the trees.

Wow love the reflections!

I don't think there's anything that keeps the geese away! Love the reflections you captured with the slight water movement. Cool looking.

Great composition and beautiful reflections. I love the geese, too.

A beautiful scene Lou Ann and great reflections

Super composition and reflections - the geese play a minor role here!

It's got some nice reflections I think. The geese will keep coming back and every time there will be more and more. It gets pretty gross after awhile with all the poop they leave behind.

@hellie @elatedpixie @elatedpixie @bkbinthecity @joansmor @grammyn @sugarmuser @beryl @lynnz @carole_sandford @henrir @pcoulson @mave @onewing @gijsje @radiogirl @milaniet @mittens @nicolecampbell @farmreporter @olivetreeann Thank you so much for your great comments and faves. When I left the house this morning I didn’t expect to take many photos, boy was I wrong. Even though it was grey and cloudy and cold - my fingers froze - there were several different types of birds and some nice water features. So all in all it was a good outing.

Great shot! I like your composition.

So lovely Lou Ann if not a bit cold looking!

@happysnaps I couldn’t get close enough to really tell what those were, but honestly I think they are mistletoe, it just grows everywhere here. @kwind @ludwigsdiana @gilbertwood @gigiflower Thank you! I can’t wait to go back in the spring, I think this will be a lot better then. Even though I do agree with @joansmor that the bare trees make wonderful reflections in the water.

great reflections and nice crisp focus

Lovely scene. Had to chuckle a bit at the thrill of seeing the Canadian geese return - that's not something that you hear often in these parts. Especially on the local golf courses. They do leave substantial evidence of their existence....if you know what I mean.

@stray_shooter oh I know all about the geese “calling cards”, lol. This flock is just a small number compared to years past in this location, so much construction there now it really has affected the number of geese, though.
