Ruthie’s late bloomer

My friend Ruthie gave me an Amaryllis bulb for Christmas and I had just about given up on it when it finally bloomed.

We have an amaryllis which we planted before Christmas and I looked this morning at the three inches of leaves - that's all!! Perhaps it will flower by Easter!! LOL!! Yours is gorgeous - love that knockout red!!

Ha. We have those solar screens on our windows so very minimal sunshine is available for my inside plants. I’m proud of this plant for flowering in spite of its growing conditions.
