Texas Bluebonnets
The Ennis Bluebonnet Trails were so much fun. This was a lovely field of flowers and I liked the fence with it’s stone posts.

Boy - these fields are fantastic! A type of lupin? But native to Texas!

Yes they are in the Lupin family. They are the State Flower of Texas, some years they are wonderful and some years a light bloom. It all depends on the early rains, we had just the right amount this year.

Beautifully done Lou Ann. I was hoping to get over to Texas to view and shoot the bluebonnets, but once again will miss out. :-(

Do they grow these blue bonnets for any special reason Lou Ann. We don’t have them here so I’m not sure if they are a crop or wild!
