At least the geese are at the wedding chapel

The Riverwalk’s wedding chapel is complete, just in time to not open because of Covid-19. The developers offered a free $75,000 complete wedding package last month. Couples entered with 2 minute videos detailing why they should win. I hope the winning video is made public. The Canadian Geese love the moat around the chapel, I guess they can be stand in guests. 😊 All kidding aside, the Riverwalk project has been plagued with so many construction and permit delays, not to mention Covid, that we all hope it gets up and running by the end of the year. It is two years, yes two years past the original opening date.
Except for the buildings in the background this looks like it could be a moat around a real castle. Such a fabulous photo of it.

How disappointing to hear they have run into so many obstacles.

A beautiful scene, and it does look like a moat around a castle. It looks like a very special setting.

How frustrating for the builders & organisers never mind the extra expense! It looks a great place though when it eventually gets going! Hope a deserving couple win the prize!

@grammyn @taffy @ludwigsdiana @joansmor @ingrid01 @mittens @happypat @happysnaps @k9photo @gijsje @beryl @koalagardens @radiogirl @sugarmuser thank you all for your wonderful comments. It seems this will be the year that everything was put on hold, it’s just becoming the norm. I catch myself just excusing everything, so that I won’t be disappointed, don’t you?!

Really like your composition of the scene - two-year past due is quite something - yikes - and then Covid. They must feel someone has it in for them :) Will be so nice when it does get to be used.

it will be a great wedding venue - whenever restrictions lift!!

@calm @lynnz @milaniet @gilbertwood @ziggy77 @pcoulson thank you so much for your wonderful comments. This popped on the PP this morning, thank you! Will see how this whole Riverwalk development plays out after Covid. There are 6 restaurants that were supposed to open over the last year, none have even started completing the buildings that were built for them. Such a developers nightmare!

What a beautiful place

i'd shoot those damn geese if i had a gun. those are pesky little bastards! if you see them in your lawn, chase them, because they will soon own the place and leave a lot of souvenirs for everyone's shoes! ooops, i'm ranting. i hate those geese and the pigeons, too!

but the building is nice and hope it will open up soon. great photo opp, i should think!
