On my walk....

A troubling side effect of disposable masks and gloves is the way people just throw them on the ground. Many states have steep penalties in place for improper disposal of plastic, Massachusetts has the highest fine, $5,000. This mask was on one of the streets I walk on, just a quiet residential street. I was actually surprised to see it. 😢

I've only seen one on my walks in the neighborhood and none when I venture out to shop (which is not often). Unfortunately, I'm not surprised to see folks not doing the right thing...sigh....
