Cadence is 21!

Granddaughter Cadence Lauren is 21 today. I called her at her university apartment this morning early and sang happy birthday to her. She told me about a dream she had about her hamster Cheeky getting loose in my house, thank goodness it was a dream! It’s amazing how fast time goes by, isn’t it? Now she’s a junior in college and planning her future.

Honestly not being able to be with this girl all year has been so hard. We met for lunch once during the summer. When she comes home for the winter break (her university closes this year from Thanksgiving to January) after she has stayed home for two weeks, making sure she doesn’t have Covid, we will have a day together to celebrate her birthday. I cannot wait.
