FoR Landscape 5

Over the years we have enjoyed going to the USS Hornet aircraft carrier reunions. Jerry served on the ship for a few years during his 23 year US Navy career. In 2016 the reunion was in Oregon and one of the tours took us to this site, Multnomah Falls, in the Columbia River Gorge. I was standing off to one side, the best photos of the falls are when they are in the center of the foot bridge. 😊
Great photo! I like the bridge!

@grammyn I don’t know why I didn’t make the effort to get the falls in the center of the bridge! Just decided to post it anyway. 😊

It’s location, the Columbia River Gorge, has the greatest concentration of waterfalls in North America.

@pcoulson The Hornet is a museum now, anchored in Alameda, California. It really is a legendary carrier.

@louannwarren I visited the USS Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego, I assume a its a similar size to the USS Hornet when I was on holiday touring around the national parks in 2011:)

I wouldn't mind seeing these some day- they really are spectacular. But I must say, I have some beautiful waterfalls to view here- and most are less than 30 minutes away!
