Live Oak acorns by the hundreds, maybe thousands

The Oak trees this year are weighted down with acorns. The only thing different this past year was the ten days of our deep freezing temperatures. Perhaps that’s why the oaks are growing so many “seeds”, to protect the future generations, so to speak. Walking on the trails is a challenge because of all of the acorns that have fallen!
Very nice! Love the colors and the bokeh. Nadya told me already that the weather is very nice and your picture confirms that!

@ingrid01 they say a bit of rain but I’ll believe it when I see it! Our fall weather is usually wonderful, will be so nice for you and Yelena to come to Texas during that season. Much cooler up here than in Houston.

Lovely capture Lou Ann, our dining room table and chairs are make from American Oak so maybe these will be used for funiture in one hundred years or so, lol:)

This is a different kind of Oak than I'm used to seeing- the leaves look nothing like ours. Good shot! (Ours are not dropping that many...YET!)
