The woes of opening a restaurant in the winter

We have a new restaurant that installed beautiful landscaping before they opened the first of December. The hard January freeze killed at least half of their new plants. These palms and yuccas were light orange, so I faffed them to dark orange. 😊 For the rainbow today.
Such a shame to see all that hard work go to waste but it made a beautiful starting point for this photo

Great faffing (as always). A pity that they lost a lot of their plants.

Beautiful colour and faffing. How sad that they lost these beautiful plants.

Great edit. one can't predict the weather and, unfortunately, it happened to the new restaurant owners.

How disappointing for them…I did think to myself well you would expect that in January but then I remembered you are in Texas!!

What a lovely bold colour. Hope they didn't have to pay for the landscaping.

Great faffing. I hope that they will recuperate when the weather starts warming up.

About the landfill, I have no information. The place is on the other side of Malta and have never been to the area before. I guess they allowed the rubble - most probably building ones - to settle down and proceeded after that.
