We met Lori for lunch yesterday at our fave restaurant. Jerry used his cane to walk inside the restaurant, everyone made a big fuss over him. It was so good for him to be out and being able to be so normal. We so appreciate all that the doctors have done for him. He has radiation treatments starting next week, I told him as great a fighter as his body is, the radiation isn’t going to phase him. 🥰
My first thought was that thee were photos you and Jerry were going to aspire to...but here you are, looking as though nothing has happened (except that he's feeling so much better!) Look at those smiles! And how lovely to be welcomed back to your favorite places!!! Nice goin' Jerry!!!

@Weezilou I don’t know what’s better at Hillside, their coffee or their food. Jerry loves their Key Lime Pie and the Hot Fudge Sundae. Yesterday was such a fun day, the kitchen sent him another scoop of ice cream!

Jerry looks like he’s about to tuck into that very large pudding….nothing wrong with his appetite thankfully! So good to see you both out & about & meeting Lori. All you want when you’re ill is to get back to normal again & simple things like this are the best.

Great to see all the smiles! Regarding radiation - if you can source true manuka honey UMF( https://www.comvita.co.nz/manuka-honey ) it stops any burning that may occur. Hubby had it with his radiation and no burns at all whereas all the others around him did have. You swallow a TB every day.
What a lovely collage. Jerry has such a marvellous smile he must feel good to be out and about again. With delicious food and good company who wouldn't have a smile on their face. Hope all goes well with the radiation.
