For some reason we call fruit from South Texas “fruit from the valley”, ha. When I went to the grocery the other day I told Jerry they would probably just have citrus and apples. I was so wrong! In this photo are grapefruit (very good, even though not very pretty), oranges and Bosc, Anjou, and Bartlett pears. They had a small selection of plums and nectarines but honestly I couldn’t bring myself to pay $4 a pound so I just kept walking.
The price of everything has gone up so much. It makes one consider not eating as if that were an option!
