On Target

Just a little something, call it a slice of life. I always try to keep my eyes (and my mind) open, and look for interesting sights.... And always try to have some camera with me. In this case my iPhone did the trick.

This is my entry for week 5 of the 52-week challenge ( https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/31005/52-week-challenge-week-5-jan-29th-wildcard-photographer-s-choice). This week is Wildcard-Photographer's Choice: Capture an image on your terms; who, what, where, when, why, how… it's all up to you. Caveat: You must tell us your intent.

SO: Here's my intent, thought process... whatever.
This is outside of a Target superstore. I've taken images of the concrete balls before, and noticed the way this one lined up with the hole in the wall.... I shifted around until I found an angle I liked.

I decided to do selective color to emphasize the contrasting shapes, and de-emphasize the background.

I wish I had my DSLR, I would've tried using the zoom to compress the distance between the ball and the hole. But I'm satisfied with how it turned out.
creative and great work!

You have a cool Tarjay! We only have the silly red balls which get run into a lot here. Love the selective coloring and composition. Fav.

This is a great image! I was thinking about my cy366 prompt today, and your photo caught my eye, because it was right on "target". :-)
