This old train depot has been "in storage" since 1989, it was announced this week that it will be restored.
From the local newspaper: "The two-room building was erected in 1883 at 447 S. Buchanan St. [Edwardsville, IL] as part of the New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad. It was decommissioned in 1967 and used as quarters for railroad employees until 1983."
Apparently it will take several years to restore....
@koalagardens@lynnz Thanks both! When I saw the article that it was going to be restored, I decided to track it down and get some "before" photos. It looks like it will beed quite a bit of work, though.
