I was all set to post this cool fungus I found while weeding the daffodils when I went outside to light the grill and saw this guy having his dinner. I believe it is a red shoulder hawk. We have a lot of hawks in our area but most do not feed so close to the house. Of course he was near the top of a 70' tree and my longest lens is 200mm. I was leaning out my bedroom window to try to get closer. He was not the least bit concerned with me but there were about 6-8 other hawks circling overhead waiting for him to drop his squirrel. He finished eating and continued to just sit there until a robin came and chased him off.
