This is Bellevoir House, built in 1864-7 as a family home. The estate was sold to the city in 1912 to be used for the Louisville and Jefferson County Children's Home. All of the rest of the land is now office buildings. They are using the very last bit of the land surrounding the house for a new library. The house itself is on the National Register of Historic Places.
