It took me a lot of test shots trying to get this shed and gate exposed in the way I wanted, while still capturing the colours and texture of the setting sun.
Nearly had it just right too, when 'wham'......and all I see is the unwanted jet-stream from an RAAF jet in an otherwise peaceful country sunset shot.
Possibly the largest photobomb subject, even if it lacks the usual comedic effect, I am posting this shot & including it in the weekly challenge just so I don't feel it was a wasted effort!! :D
@paulaag Hi Paula yes the RAAF is the Royal Australian Air Force, and there is a base in Canberra that is busy with government VIPs, diplomats, and defence force aircraft. The Queen, President Obama and Prince Frederik have all landed here in the last few months.
@ltodd , wow, must an important base because those are some important people. thanks for the info Lyn, I was sure AF stood for air force, but wasn't sure about the RA........now I know:)
@mwarren365 thanks Mike, it was like a soduko puzzle! HDR might have also worked, but I am trying to train the brain to multitask & think about all the exposure variables (and how they influence each other) at the same time. The benefit of the 365 project - I can try something & see what works/what doesn't work and the next day try & improve it.
:-( Well, that IS the ultimate isn't it? Having your photo bombed by f***ing chemtrail trailing plane that is trying to kill us all! Mofos! The sky and trees are beautiful though...
Totally awesome, just like it is.
GREAT job!
