The Milky Way galaxy contains 30 constellations however the only one I can make out in this shot is Orion, and of course Venus is so much brighter than the other stars it looks like the moon!
Image by image I am spending long hours fixing my messy old LR catalogue.I came across this shot taken at Uyuyini in Bolivia in October 2013 that I had never seen. I ddid however well remember wearing two down jackets, two beanies and two pairs of gloves while standing by myself in a construction site in the pitch black, trying to avoid the lights from an occasional car, and all the while hoping I would not be mugged by bandits! The foreground was lit by a few seconds of my trusty led solar torch that I always have on the outside of my handbag.
I downloaded some great LR presets to process this, and followed the instructions that made the editing pretty straight forward ( http://danielwyliephotography.co.nz/blog/ ) . probably cooler viewed on black, although next time I would only shoot a maximum of 20 seconds so the stars were not moving quite so much. ( or maybe the camera was shivering as much as I was!!)
