Storing wood for winter

As it gets very cold and they get a lot of snow here in Rottach Egern, everyone living in the countryside has to have a lot of wood.

In Bavaria everyone is stacking the wood so neatly, it’s somehow a little competition amongst the wood stacker!

The Germans and Austrians are always so neat and tidy at stacking wood, as @angelikavr said. I am always amazed, especially when I look at our rather chaotic pile here! How they get them all the same size too.......
