Prickly Pears for Lou Ann by ludwigsdiana

Prickly Pears for Lou Ann

in comparison with @louannwarren's colourful ones, these look rather boring but taste delicious. Taken in the garden of my butcher last month. I checked, the fruit is all gone now ;-)

Marvelous capture, Diana. I have seen your color of pears in the fields in West Texas. Why the ones here (500 miles east) are a different color is beyond me. 😊

@louannwarren Out of interest I googled them Lou Ann, you have no ideat of the hundreds of different varieties, one more beautiful than the other ;-)
@jacqbb they taste fabulous Jacqueline, fleshier than a kiwi and sweeter. To be peeled very carefully as they have horrible fine thorns that you don't get out ;-)
