I have decided to do a month of textures. I bought quite a few on black
Friday and want to try them out. The photos are all mine, some of them taken with an old Ixus and not too good though. Hope you will enjoy the series anyway ;-)
Fabulous image! Love the flamingo and your textures are perfect! Clare @pistache is right about your masking your subject - I could never do thin legs like this so neatly!
@gardenfolk Most of them yes, I got a few collections, but they are basically similar just other colours. Most of them come from Daily Texture, which was recommended by @joysfocus. @pistache I don't cut out the subject Clare, just masking in PS. I have always loved doing it ;-)

i think what i meant was - how do you mask out the background so successfully? i do it but i don't think it usually looks as good as when you do it! are you just using the brush tool?
@pistache Yes I only use the brush tool. I think it depends a lot on the quality of the texture. I mostly have Jai Johson textures from daily texture.com. She has lot's of tutorials on youtube. One is supposed to use 100% opacity. I was never good until I saw a tutorial of hers. Well worth looking into 😉
