Amethyst Sunbird

for Moni. After all that heavy rain, we had two days of wonderful sunshine. The birds were happy that I put up the bottle and all flocked around. This one is almost double the size of yesterdays sunbird. It is times like these when I miss the range of my Lumix, but wanted to see how the 70-300 does.

I can make out a bit of pink on the side of its chest.
And the photo is so good with that blurred background. Excellent.

@monikozi I was thinking the same Moni, usually 6am for me. This morning is so icy cold that I got up half an hour later than usual ;-)
