they are magnificent indeed
I saw some in the fields last week ... they always come just before spring to herald the last of the rains .... they are blooming too early this year

@seacreature This is the only one out of a whole bunch. I think the rest will not flower, as they are still little shoots in the ground :-(

@merrelyn they do look stunning in the fields Merrelyn as they grow wild here. It is forbidden to pick them :-)

@ludwigsdiana They do look lovely but they are a declared pest in Western Australia. You are not allowed to pick them and we are not supposed to grow them.
