Come on, who stole the bridge?! by lyndamcg

Come on, who stole the bridge?!

Blackfriars Railway Bridge - the original was built in 1864 and is now just pillars as couldn't take the weight of modern trains. The bridge to the left of the pillars was opened in 1886 and was originally called St Paul's Railway Bridge but changed its name to Blackfriars in 1937 when the name of the Railway Station was changed to Blackfriars.
It's interesting to see that they kept the pylons from the bridge. In Australia, we just know the lot down (sigh.... )

Nice shot and great story- too bad they couldn't put some sort of foot bridge on the old pillars or something. Makes for an interesting shot though!
