Plans for 2015 by lyndemc

Plans for 2015

Benny the Bear, Bo and Denny heard that 365 Toys were making plans for the new year so decided they'd make a few of their own. They had maps, magazines and travel brochures spread all over the place so I get the feeling they'd like to go somewhere. There was even a poster of Mt. Everest. I hope the Box boys aren't thinking about trying to become the first ones to summit that peak.

Wherever this year takes them, I'm more than happy to record their adventures with my camera.
Aw fun shot, fun times!

Uh oh, you know when there's three, one always gets left out. Looks like Colorado and Cedar Fair are in the future? Are Benny and Danbo making goo goo eyes?

Ha ha, excellent! I hope they tidied up afterwards! ;-)

Looking forward to seeing their adventures what a cool idea, I see they are looking at Sandusky do you think they are brave enough to ride the Top thrill dragster ? I remember we went to cedar park a few years ago not that was some theme park.

This is so clever Denise. You put in so much effort to create such magical photos. I can't wait to see what you do with this idea of yours. It is reminding me of your alphabet project which was so wonderful. I'm looking forward to this journey.

So where did they decide to go? Somewhere with lots of photo opportunities, I'm sure. Cute photo idea.

This is such a fun shot Denise. The whimsy of it is so refreshing. Did the boys decide on their first trip?

@vegansusan If these three travel with me, it'll end up being places that are (hopefully) snowier than home. I'm an odd ball in that I prefer the colder places over the warmer ones.

@teiko I'm hoping so! It won't be Mt. Everest tho. That's a little extreme, and mighty far away.

@marmaladeskyes I searched high and low for a nifty little wooden compass one of my boys had as a treasure in his youth but couldn't find it in his boxes of saved things, so had to resort to more a more current form of navigation.

@stray_shooter There better not be any goo-goo eyein' goin' on. That would only complicate things. As for travels, Colorado better one of the places I make it again, and soon. I've missed two trips out west in the last six months. I'm gettin' antsy to go. With allowing myself to post pictures now taken within a week's time of the date, I'm hoping to do a little closer-to-home traveling with the idea of having some different photo material to work with.

@briggsy We've talked about hittin' the big coaster at Sundusky for years. I've come to the conclusion we'll not be doing it at this point. I would, however, like to return to Put-in-Bay. That was a fun stop, ferry, bike riding and all. For the sake of 365, the Dan Boys and Bear will be going along when I do.

@lwain Yes, were Mt. Everest honestly on my To-Do list for the year, I'd definitely need some serious training, something that would be a real challenge in the flat state of Illinois. The three were dreaming big when they included that poster in the layout. (I've climbed to the base of Switzerland's iconic Matterhorn but that's all the more adventurous my hiking excursions will likely be at this point although I still wish I'd make the trek to the top of Long's Peak in the Rocky Mt Nat'l Park.)

@terryliv With the self-granted freedom to post "out-dated" pictures now, it's worth it to make small photography trips on the weekends. I've put off doing it this entire past year because of the one pic a day thing. If only Australia could be considered a 'quick trip'...

@neatz @emiko @pauliek @dgrynn

Now that I'm allowing myself to post a picture not taken on the exact day, weekend trips in search of different photo opportunities are in the making. I could hardly justify driving five hours to only get one usable photo! I thought by posting a picture that reveals the plan, I'd hold myself to actually doing it. Time'll tell.

@lyndemc I was in exactly the same situation. Not worth the trouble for one or two usable shots. We are off to Sydney on Tuesday for a week for Grace's birthday so it will be interesting being able to accumulate two weeks of photos from around Sydney. One thing I have found is that it is an entirely different mind set taking shots for 365 vs taking your normal everyday happy snaps. I found over Christmas I was always looking for the 365 killer shot and in the process, missing out on capturing the normal family happy snaps that I would have taken once :-(
