I so appreciate the creativity that 365 inspires, demands, requires. (The description changes depending on the day...!)
2014 was my first year on 365...
YEAH!!!! You have snow!!!!!
What a gorgeous shot..........love how you have captured the snow falling and on the grasses.
Instant fav for me, but I do love snow scenes :)
Denise this is so beautiful. I love how the snow is gathering on the feathery grass heads, and that I can see the snow falling, . I love the tones and this is a very big fav. Keep warm!
You must have sent your weather my way because my shot for today's year 1 album looks a lot like yours except I'm at the beach and you're in the country. Love the blowing snow you captured!
@jocee I've been hoping for snow, not only because I like it but because I want something additional to photograph for 365. Evergreens gave this pic it's bluish-green backdrop.
@emiko Hot chocolate is definitely in order. Had a mug of it on Sunday and enjoyed it completely.
@rustymonkey Enjoy your summer holiday at the beach! What a difference we're having for weather, eh?
@amandal I leave the grasses tall for the winter so the little birds have a place to hide. Sometimes I'll walk by a clump and dozen of sparrows will fly out. The grass has come in handy as photo subjects too!
@stray_shooter It technically was balmy when this picture was taken compared to right now with the temps dropping below 0 and the wind hollowing like an insane beast. The goats are likely tucked in their big barn. I know my llamas are kushing on the mound of hay in their stall. They look like giant chickens when they're doing that.
@kerrynz Thank you, Kerry. Your saying that the picture tells a story is a thought I hadn't had about the photo. Appreciate your suggesting that idea.
@pammerritt I'm happy too about finally getting some snow!! Nearly seven inches of it fell softly and perfectly yesterday, but today the wind is messing it all up. Bummer. Wishing more snow for you as I get the feeling you like it as well.
@radiogirl Thanks for sharing in my excitement about the snow! It came down all soft and sweet on Monday night (the wind died at some point after I took this picture) so that Tuesday's view was absolutely beautiful. The wind is now howling which is ruining my pretty snow.
@ceilidh Thank you so much, Margaret. I too liked the way the snowflakes had adhered to the tiny grass seeds. What I'd love to catch is a bird clinging to these snowy fronds now, but every time I attempt to sneak a picture, the little birds flee, knocking more and more of the snow off the grass.
