Back on Tuesday when I posted my rusty post picture, I mentioned the sad shape the dock was in and how the wood was deteriorating out from under the metalwork of the railing. Just as I'd decided I'd best get off the dilapidated structure I noticed this feather ferrying three droplets about on the water. Stepping off the pier onto a concrete post where the pier likely once reached, I leaned out and snapped this picture, hoping I and my camera wouldn't join the feather in the lake.
If it weren't for 365 and the search for something wild I'd have missed out on this random delightful discovery.
I so appreciate the creativity that 365 inspires, demands, requires. (The description changes depending on the day...!)
2014 was my first year on 365...
Before I got to your final sentence I was thinking that very same thing. The one thing I love about photogrpahy is how it really helps you to look at the things aroud you that would normally be so easily missed :) I wonder where that little leaf with its droplets will end up? Lovely photo.
Particularly nice against the black background - that neat feather really stands out. Your focus is so clear on those 3 drops that it immediately catches my eye, but the background colors are wonderful with it, too. Like the whole composition.
