A Shared Glance with Nature

For the 30 Days Wild theme...

How I wish the creatures of nature could know whom they could trust, and that the ones deemed trustworthy were permitted to move closer, perhaps share a touch, a scratch behind the ears, a pat on the back. This doe stood watching me for much longer than most would dare, something that allowed me not only to take a number of pictures of her but to put down the camera and just talk to her. I loved how her ears twitched forward as she listened. I like to think she sensed a trustworthiness in me.
Beautiful scene and capture has a lovely elegance about it. Has to be a FAV!

The deer seems unified with it's environment here. Love the field and flowers along with the deer! Fav

I really like the blurred grasses in the foreground. Adds a sense of depth, and a touch of distance.... emphasizing the different - worlds.

A wonderful sentiment Denise and one that I often wish for also.

some do seem to know you won't harm them although never getting really close, not turning to show their white tails in flight either! great shot with the foreground interest

Lovely shot. I agree with you about the trust, I always think it such a shame that any animals instinct is to fear humans, even so called domesticated animals, unless they are handled early in life.

Great capture Denise. It's hard to get them to stay still for very long, but what a reward when they do.

This is absolutely gorgeous - the softness of those flowers in front of her really go so well - you can tell she's looking and listening to you and not afraid. What a wonderful experience.

Super capture, and how true what you say about wildlife - I often think that when I'm trying to get a shot of a bird and it flies off before I get a good one.

She has a look that she trusts you. I think they sense who they can trust, and not. I love that you talked to her. She is a beauty!
