First attempt at star trails this year. This is 92 images (after deleting about 30 where cars drove through my scene). Not the greatest but it works so will hopefully have another night of clear skies when I can try again.
Any way that you could take a flash light and shine it on the trees in the foreground so that you can see them? maybe done in thirds and stack them in with the stars? Oh, you didn't take your "Road Closed" sign with you?
@byrdlip I think I just need to increase my ISO. I had to delete all the frames that had car lights because it just blew out the photo. The trees are actually some distance away. But we'll see what I get next time if I get the opportunity. We are suppose to have clouds and afternoon/evening showers for the rest of the week.
@milaniet There's actually a program called Star Trails; you just add the files to it and press "process" and VOILA! you have your image. Very simple. Less than a minute or so.
