A great lineup, and like the deep rust of the water and background growth. My son has said that he's seen pelicans on their migration in Illinois, too. A coo sight.
Love the lighting! Those pelicans show so well against the copper tones. Can't wait until they make it down here - at least another two months I'm guessing. Love the reflections. Fav
Congratulations on TT, Lynn.....such a fabulous image!! So, do they just come out in the fall? Is that part of their migration pattern? Of course, we see them here all the time, especially as they have claimed a rocky part of the oceanfront as their own, but in the heartland?!! FAV!!
@panthora Yes, Osia, we usually just see the pelicans in the fall. I assume they are migrating. I read an article that these white pelicans stay more inland in marshes etc. and they migrate from Minnesota and Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. I drove by this marsh this morning and there were only about ten pelicans. There were hundreds earlier this week.
