This was taken on Bray beach (a different beach to my usual one). I'm never really sure whether to call it a beach... it's man made, put in place as part of coastal protection measures almost two decades ago.
The sea used to come right up against the promenade, which has been there since Victorian times, and cause erosion damage, minor flooding in bad weather, and various levels of discomfort for people out for a stroll and not expecting to be hit by random waves... it's much more pleasant these days, but I'm still not sure it counts as a proper beach.
*Thanks everyone for the comments, fav's & follows, in case I don't get around to responding to each one individually*
Based in Dublin, Ireland, started on...
@georgeo I got the soft effect during processing, I used Silver Efex pro, from the Nik collection... I think I'd be nervous about using vaseline, even with protective plastic under it, because I'd probably manage to ruin the lens!
