Nice concept and nice lighting. :)

@godsloverphotography Thanks! I used a black velvet dress on a chair, and I rubbed just a little olive oil onto the skin to make it shine :-)
November 28th, 2012
Very nice lighting and black background. I think it would have been even better if the plate didn't show on the right of your composition.
November 28th, 2012
@midumas Ha! And I kind of like that little bit of plate! Thanks!

Nicely done! :) Beautiful still life... love the light and tones
November 28th, 2012
@katharinehubbard Thanks, it was tasty too!
@midumas How fickle you are!LOL Thank you, Did you cover the bit of plate and discover that left it kind of out of balance?
@daisy Thank you Kathryn :-)
@grammyn Thanks, that dress is not super comfortable, so at least it gets some use!
@kwind Thank you! That velvet dress is kind of a cheapo kind of velvet so it made some reflection, but I like it.
@amandalomonaco A pomegranate tree?!?!? Now that would be AWESOME! And that is high praise indeed :-)

Hi Mary, I'm your get pushed partner for this week. You say in your profile you're using GIMP, so your push challenge is to edit something using the Wavelet Decompose plugin which can be found here: http://registry.gimp.org/node/11742
I hope it's an OK challenge, let me know if it;s not and we can come up with something else.

@chupon Thank you!
@pizzaboy I guess I should have read this, but it looks like a GREAT challenge for dark winter days! Guess I'll have to kick my youngest son off of MY computer! (I find myself always using my other son's computer lately)

@m9f9l BTW, if you can't find a Windows installer for the Wavelet Decompose plugin, it's included in this package, which also has lots of other useful extras: http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimpextensions/

@pizzaboy Ok, thanks! I've watched a few online tutorials on the WD now, what a cool tool! Still haven't gotten onto my computer though. And it's concert weekend to boot! :-)
