Margaret, I was so thrilled with the pictures that did turn out I invited my two sons and one of their girlfriends to go back Sunday so I could try to take some photos of animals that I shot poorly last Saturday. ;-)
Margaret John Patrick gave me tips. Wear darker clothing, take photos at a 45 degree angle from the glass, and of course high ISO's. The white balance I used that finally worked was AWB. I am excited to go back and see if I get some more. I think they would make a nice calendar for my sons and dad.
maggie ....sooo fantastic. Clearly these animals have such strength of feeling. Do check out the vidlink I've put with my comment on Bill D's cheetah pic. This is s fabulous shot. The light you mention didn't get in the way at all - I didn't notice I was so captivated by the way you'd caught the subjects.
@kasumie13@loriromp@cindy Thank you for the kind words. It was a love bite and I have a few more very funny shots that happened right after this. He ended up sitting on her. She had a fit.
You must have had your camera handy...great capture!
@yoelao I hate the captivity too, but I guess it's necessary now for the survival of a few of the animals.
@isisweiss Very true, they were very affectionate. They are actually brother and sister.
Love it!
