@kathyd Thank you. This is just edited in paint shop pro. All I did was correct the exposure. @kreeves23@kerristephens Thank you Kerri and Kimberly for the kind words.
Quite an extraordinary shot that encompasses so much facial detail. This is the closest I will ever get to a lioness. She is definitely voicing her opinion.
Just an awesome shot. Are you shooting through glass? I can't see any reflections so it is really well done. You are making me want to go back to the Milwaukee County Zoo again. I wonder how old she is. On cats those black spots indicate age. I wonder if the same is true for lions.
@wac Wendy, I was shooting through glass. I thought the reflections were terrible and that I didn't get a single shot. Then I downloaded them and they weren't too bad. I wear a dark coat and hold it up to block the reflections. It's not easy but it works. Or I might enlist someone to stand and block the reflection.
They are litter mates and all 10 years old.
I think you did great with the glass. I see no reflection in this photo. John Patrick told me to stand at a 45 degree angle as well. I have tried that when I remember and it does help.
@kezzamcc@teena Thanks for the kind words. I do appreciate them.
Teena, I love your animal shots. I do believe we share the same passion for animals. Have fun at the park. I'd love to be there. Have a good weekend.
awww, little kitty is yawning cause its nap time, right? NOT! What a fantastic shot! The animals at my zoo just sleep. LOL. Maybe I am not going at the right time, I dont know......but I never see them do so much as swish their tails!
I went to the Seattle zoo last week and I actually thought of you when I saw the lions! They weren't very close by, and I don't have a very good zoom, but I think you would have done them justice!
When I get my pics from the zoo up on Flickr I'll have to give you a link, just in case you want to see them! :-)
@lovelyrita_mm Maggie, I would love to see them. Thanks for thinking of me. I am such an animal freak. @lisahutchinson@dogsareforlife Thanks Hollie and Lisa. They can look so cute, then they turn into such a frightening animal. In reality, she was arguing with her brother.
@kreeves23 @kerristephens Thank you Kerri and Kimberly for the kind words.
Thank you all for your kind words. I really appreciate them.
Wendy these lions are litter mates. Two sisters and their brother. They bicker all the time just like kids.
@gramsuzy I'm always thrilled when I download pictures and something pops up that I hoped I caught. I can't really tell until I put them on my computer. Sometimes I think I have a terrific shot...but it's blurry or whatever. Thank you for looking and your kind words.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I do appreciate it.
