I did a painting demonstration at the state fair. I had 4 hours to paint. I finished my Great Blue Heron picture in 1 1/2 hours....then worked on this guy. Both paintings I can do in my sleep as I have done them so often. I guess I would say I took the safe route. Next time....something a little more challenging.
I would love to see you at work. You ought to create one of those 90 second videos where we can watch the whole portrait process from beginning to end!
@bruni I wasn't allowed to sell at the fair, but I could give out cards. I'm not sure the reasoning behind it. I haven't tried it blind folded. That might be fun. :-)
@cfitzgerald Courtney, I don't mind painting in front of people, but this was the largest audience I have had. I was nervous thinking about it before hand, when I did it....no problem. When painting, I have to remember there are people to talk to and acknowledge.
