My dogs spend most of the winter with their heads under the snow. One time he came up with a mole that had tunneled under the snow. The mole survived and the dog was very disappointed that he didn't get to keep his find.
What characters. Guess they have to poke through the snow to get any good scents, unless some big mammal has wandered by the surface must be pretty boring to a dog. Cute shot.
I love this Marg,brings back good memories of the snow. I think I need to print this & carry it w/ me so I remember how to frame, crop..........whatever it is you do so well. I keep wanting to fill the shot w/ Esme's head. The less is more concept has always been difficult for me.... oh yeah.....FAV of course.
OMG, before reading the caption, I thought it was a brown lop rabbit with his eyes shut and his nose touching the snow. Thanks for the opportunity to laugh at myself and for the funny story.
