Ocelot. by maggie2

Ocelot.

One of the ocelots at the zoo. There are two. They can't be out together. Mother and daughter, who don't get along too well. So they take turns.

Thanks everyone for all of your kind words. I do appreciate them. :-)
She's beautiful!!!
That's sad they don't get along any more :(

What a chilled ocelot. When I was on holiday in Nicaragua a few years ago a baby ocelot was brought to the place I was staying. Paulette who owned the place was always rescuing animals and the police and authorities would bring animals they had found people smuggling etc. It was just the cutest little cat ever - about 3 weeks old they thought!

Ha! I can completely relate to that! Mothers! Who needs 'em?
Ocelots have such sweet little faces and I LOVE the chemical burn effect you've got going on here!
February 21st, 2012
@tabbycat Tabitha, this is the lighting in the room. They keep it dark except for one light on this branch that she lays on. Can't use a flash, of course, so the only time I can get a decent shot is when she is on it.
