If I lay on the road (yes I did) and zoom in, this guy looks pretty big. Colors are beautiful. The snake is harmless and was named corn snake because it was often found in barns where corn was stored. It then ate the mice or rats that came for the corn.
As long as Wolf stays away from corn....he's safe.
Nice shot - glad you included previous shot to give us some visual size reference. Went back to previous and had to laugh at this little guy looking so ready to pounce on that "giant" dog!
How dedicated you are to get down on the road with this fellow (at least you did use zoom!). Lovely colorings - especially against the road - he kind of blends in.
Beautiful snake; great shot, Margaret. Love to see snakes from other parts of the world as we have so many of the blighters here and they are very different.
As usual, amazing capture - and not at all surprised whatsoever that you laid on the ground for this!!! :) :) I love his little head as he looks at Wolf!!! A "Fav" for me :)
wow, you are right, the two pictures really can shift your perspective. This one make the snake look like something I would run from, but the other one, I could handle it with out screaming like a little girl, lol
Super
