Saving face for Wolfie by maggie2

Saving face for Wolfie

If I lay on the road (yes I did) and zoom in, this guy looks pretty big. Colors are beautiful. The snake is harmless and was named corn snake because it was often found in barns where corn was stored. It then ate the mice or rats that came for the corn.
As long as Wolf stays away from corn....he's safe.
Excellent capture. Love the detail and perspective. Thanks for getting down to it's level.

Nice shot - glad you included previous shot to give us some visual size reference. Went back to previous and had to laugh at this little guy looking so ready to pounce on that "giant" dog!

How dedicated you are to get down on the road with this fellow (at least you did use zoom!). Lovely colorings - especially against the road - he kind of blends in.

We have cats to do that job but why not a snake if it is effective. Very beautiful capture , a great snake pic.
May 4th, 2012
@pyrrhula Theses snakes just get into the barns by themselves. I don't think the farmers want them there. The find small openings and sneak in. :-)

what an amazing shot Maggie
