Egg Coddlers

My collection of these wonderful items that not only look great but can create a delicious dish! The way I have done it is to butter the inside, break in whole egg or eggs, add layers of cheese, bacon, mushroom, cream, whatever takes your fancy! Then you screw the lid on tightly, place in a pan of water that is just under the simmer for about 10 to 12 minutes. This makes the eggs so creamy and the flavour infuses through the whole cup.

Thanks to everyone who helped raise my spirits after a bad situation on Saturday night that I'm still shaking from! Care and friendliness shone out from your comments!
Take comfort in knowing what goes around - comes around! LOL!

Beautiful shot of these cups! I have never heard of an egg coddler before now! They're lovely and your dish sounds delicious and sort of like cowboy cookin' in a dutch oven which I just love!
