There is this estuary not far from the little coastal restaurant where we had a delicious blue cod lunch and we drove down to see some swans and other birds. But the tide was well out and there were only a few birds. I took this and when I had downloaded it, it was mainly black and white anyway so I just took the colour out of the far green bank.
Great processing- it looks like the picture is supposed to be this way. I really like the patch of reeds you put in the foreground. That makes the picture for me.
@rixtar62 There was plenty of light - the light made the water silver and the shadows black. The estuary floor seemed to be just a slivery colour too owing to shiny mud reflecting the sun.
@maggiemae Maggie, the 'pin-hole' is a most primative form of camera. From Wikipedia
A pinhole camera is a simple camera without a lens and with a single small aperture – effectively a light-proof box with a small hole in one side. Light from a scene passes through this single point and projects an inverted image on the opposite side of the box. The human eye in bright light acts similarly, as do cameras using small apertures. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinhole_camera
