What a beautiful shot, Maggiemae. Love cherries but do not get many where we live though they grow in our state. They ship a lot of them out. I hope the birds do not get them first. Out neighbor is cutting down two huge trees that birds love to nest in so maybe we can get a fruit tree and have good luck with it.
Just beautiful Maggie, love the contrast with the black background and the upside down feel to it! Fav for me too (anything floral gets me every time!)
Beautiful shot Maggiemae. I love the detail in the stamens against that beautiful sunlit petal but I also love that the base of the flower and those lovely new leaves are also in focus against that great dark background. Very thoughtfully composed.
@lornareid Oh, really!? Haven't been there lately to see! I do notice thought that a lot of the people I follow get on to the PP - quality of photos must be so good!
Love the black background, really miss seeing all the cherry blossoms in DC (don't miss the crowds though!). Here's hoping you get a good crop this year!
