The first flowers on our climbing clematis have opened this morning! The freshness of colour is lovely to see! A flower to celebrate my sister's birthday as she is staying with me today!!

@ruthmouch Thank you for those thoughts Ruth - we did have a great day - coffee at an elegant coffee house, a walk around our harbour followed by a delicious fish lunch at Portside - a beachside restaurant. The sun shone, the wind was fierce but not cold - visited the nearby beach and walked down the stairs to sit on the golden sand and absorb the view - see my other photo!
@lindag Thanks Linda! It was a bit of hit and miss photo as I couldn't see the viewfinder properly - suprised when I saw how the centre was nicely focused!
